Green Core Geothermal, Inc. (GCGI), a unit of the Energy Development Corporation (EDC), yesterday said that it has signed an agreement to supply Capiz province with 12 megawatts of power coming from its geothermal plants in Leyte and Negros Oriental.

Holbrook seeks new bids for solar power at landfill

Town officials have pulled the plug on an initial agreement with a company to build a solar power station at the landfill and are seeking new bids. Town Administrator Michael Yunits told the board of selectmen on Aug. 24 that a letter of intent with Ansar Energy LLC of Scituate would be terminated because of a lack of progress.
