Chicopee Receives $185,000 for Environment Friendly Building Practices

By constructing the new senior center with passive solar energy, the most efficient lighting and plenty of insulation, the city received a check for $185,280 from Chicopee Electric Light. The contribution, which is being granted through rebates, will count toward the $2 million the Friends of the Chicopee Senior Center has promised to raise toward construction of the building.
